ALHAMBRA TOUR FROM ALMERIA  

Description

After visiting the different hotels we leave for Granada direction Guadix. We pass the beautiful scenery of the desert of Tabernas and we will have a break for a café in the restaurant Los Abades (20 min).

Entering Granada we will visit the following items, the order depending the entrance time of the Alhambra:


1-About one hour free time in the city centre to visit the Royal Chapel and the Cathedral (not included the price). The cathedral of Granada is constructed as the first church in Spain in renaissance style. The Royal chapel is erected by the Catholic Kings and constructed by Enrique Egas to install their tombs.

2-Lunch in the Hotel Carmen (optional)

3- Guided tour in Alhambra and the gardens of the Generalife for 2 hours. La Alhambra is the most important monument of Granada and the most beautiful of all the Arab handcraft work during the total Arab time. Dominated by the red collared walls (qa´lat al Hamra) it was the residence of the Nasaritas kings to withdraw and relax. It is situate on a hill called al-Sabika which dominate the city. The whole wide complex is walled and the environment is full of beautiful views over the city, (with its characteristic districts Albazin and Alcazaba ) and the country sight . Inside the complex you will see the Patio del Leones, called like that because the fountain is carried by 12 lions, the patio de los Arrayanes, the pool which reflects the light of the rooms which surround it, Salon de los Embajadores with a ceiling representing the seven skies of the cosmos of the Islam, the palace of Chales V ect. The gardens of the Generalife are direct next to the Alhambra. There you can see the precious play of water, pools ….. a well kept garden full of various flowers.

Return to Almeria: Having the city direction Motil and we will pass the National Park of the Alpujaras. Half we will have a break of 20 minutes
