Prohibitions during the visit
  • Carry backpacks, bags or bags over 35 centimeters. There is a slogan in the basement floor of the Access Pavilion where the lockers are located and in the vicinity of the Nasrid Palaces.
  • Smoking in the Palaces and other enclosed spaces of the Set as well as outside the spaces destined for this habit.
  • Photograph with tripod.
  • Use flash during the night visit.
  • Drink or eat, except in the places reserved for it.
  • Touch the decorations on the walls.
  • Touch the columns or lean on them.
  • Touch the plants of the gardens.
  • Throw trash and waste on the ground.
  • Access to the visitable areas of the Monument in the company of animals in general, with the exception of guide dogs.
  • Drink water from fountains and ornamental pillars. There are sources with drinking water.
  • Be accompanied with children under 8 years old without taking them by the hand.
  • Undressing and removing your shoes or lying on the premises.
  • Spread ashes of the dead in any of the places of the Monumental enclosure.
  • Out of respect for other visitors and in order to maintain an adequate atmosphere, the most civic behavior possible should be maintained during the visit, especially the formation of agglomerations will be avoided.

    The maximum authorized number of people per group is 30 plus a person responsible for it or a duly accredited guide. The Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and the Generalife reserves the right to modify this number down in accordance with UNESCO's recommendations.
