Granada Cathedral

Granada Cathedral

History

The first Renaissance cathedral in Spain and the second largest in the country. Built in the heart of Granada, it was meant to show the world the importance of the city and of the historic moment it was living through. Of extraordinary dimensions, Granada Cathedral has a fascinating, completely circular main chapel without precedent in the history of architecture, and the most important collection of works by the great Granada-born artist Alonso Cano.
